Knitting
Hand knitting involves using yarn, thread or other material and a pair of knitting needles to create a fabric surface. Knitting can also be done on a machine. Knitted fabric is made up of rows of loops, called stitches. Each new loop, or stitch, is pulled through an existing loop. The active stitches are held on a needle until another loop can be passed through them. This process eventually results in a final product, often a garment.
