Elmwood Park, NJ, USA; February 13, 2006 - The Las Vegas Convention Center was the location for the world's largest craft and hobby show from January 29th through February 2nd at the Craft & Hobby Association's (CHA) 65th Winter Convention and Trade Show. More than 20,350 registered attendees, a 10.35% increase over last year, came to browse the trade show floor and take advantage of the education seminars and workshops. With 319,519 total net square footage of space, the 2006 Winter Show was CHA's largest show to date!

As usual, the major premise of the show is to disclose the new product lines and trends for the year. There were 9,402 buyers from over 55 different countries on-hand, a 30.6% increase over last year. Buyers were able to review the wide variety of products and services from the 1,035 exhibiting companies at 3,200 booths to decide what should be on the store shelves in 2006.

The convention kicked off with speaker Tim Sanders, Author and former Leadership Coach at Yahoo! His keynote presentation revealed the secrets to boosting attendees likeability factor and helped them learn how to achieve greater success at all levels. Sanders captivated the audience of over 400 people with his wit, charm and helpful advice.

Education continued to be a focal point at the Winter Show with an abundance of workshops and seminars. Seminar topics included financial management, marketing, business planning, product development, art licensing, and much more. Over 10,500 education tickets were sold, a 20% increase over last winter's show.

"We are extremely pleased with the outcome of this year's Winter Show and to hear all the positive feedback," stated CHA CEO Steve Berger. "We offered a wide variety of show attractions such as the UK Pavilion, Inspiration & Design Faire, New Exhibitor Section, Digital Imaging Pavilion, CHA Smart Store, CHA Attitude & Usage Study results, and much more. By doing so, show attendees can truly see that we want to help each and every member segment any way we can. The response continues to be very encouraging so we plan to initiate even more tailored programs so that the CHA trade shows continue to improve, grow and succeed."

The CHA Winter Show also gave members a chance to see where the Association is heading in 2006. At the CHA Annual Business Meeting, members were updated on recent association happenings as well as informed of the new Board members for 2006. Finally, a special Theater Night to see the show "Le Reve" at the new Wynn Las Vegas casino was offered to CHA members. Attendees were invited to an exclusive pre-show cocktail party and then headed to the acclaimed show. Over 700 tickets were sold and guests enjoyed the celebration after a job well done.
