SECTION 1):*~*: What's New at CraftSiteDirectory.com?
Quite a few interesting links were added to Craft Site Directory this month. We particularly enjoyed browsing the gallery at http://www.craftingnature.com. All the crafts on the web site are made using objects from nature. They are not available for purchase but perhaps you can get some ideas for your own craft projects by looking through the extensive gallery.
Another new addition that we really enjoyed was http://www.cutoutandkeep.net. This site was added to our 'Projects' category. It is the web site of crafter Cat Morley where she shares step-by-step craft project ideas using common craft materials and household items. The projects will spark creativity in children, teens, and adults alike. Teens and young adults will especially enjoy Cat's fun and hip craft projects and online fashion magazine.
We changed our site structure a little this month, hopefully, to make it even easier to navigate. 'Needlepoint' is no longer listed in the right hand margin as a main category. Instead you will see a main category called 'Needlework'. Needlework encompasses all crafts that utilize needles. Under the main category 'Needlework' you will find links to needlework sub-categories including needlepoint and a new sub-category for needle felting. The off-site links in 'Needlework' will take you to web sites that cover a variety of needle crafts. Visit:

One informative site that we added to the new needlework main category was http://www.needlework-tips-and-techniques.com. At that link you can find crafter Carol Leather's needlework tips and techniques. Her site covers blackwork, cross stitch, needlepoint, hardanger embroidery, whitework and more. Kits and charts to get you started are available for purchase.
If you watch TV shows that demonstrate craft techniques, you may have noticed needle felting tutorials popping up all over the place. Needle felting, a dry felting technique, is not new but it is becoming increasingly popular in many areas. Needle felting can be used to created anything from 3D felt teddy bears to applique type designs on sweaters. Over and over it has been described as "addictive". For more information about needle felting, visit our new sub-category here:
